Nice location but terrible value and poorly upkept building.
Building and apartment have aged significantly since first construction and has not been kept up well. Most of the furniture appears to be at least 10-20 years old.

Hidden gem of Evanston!!!
Absolutely love this apartment building!
Pros:
- HUGE apartment. Lots of space for hosting parties / study sessions
- Great management
- Super responsive maintenance
- My unit was renovated last year - all new appliances
- 17 min walk from the Hub
- Beautiful, tree-lined street on Hinman
- Super close to Whole Foods
Cons:
- some undergrads in the building
- very minor bug issues at the beginning of the quarter
- washer and dryer in the basement, but it's really not a big deal. Never have had to wait for a washer / dryer

Convenient but HIGH HIGH Price with Low Quality
McManus is convenient because it is a dorm for Kellogg students only and many of your classmates live there. Also, there are meeting rooms, which are used for a lot of group meetings, and printers. During winter months, not walking out to meetings is nice.
However, the place is very very old with minimum maintenance. I had many problems. My wooden drawers in kitchen is so old that I do not feel comfortable putting plates in them. Some cabinets doors do not close so tape is used to hold them in place. The list can go on and on. Lastly, for a studio, I am paying over $1400 a month. That is a ridiculous price to charge while not maintaining the place to be in a good shape.

old but easy to settle
very convenient, especially for international students who have never stayed in US before, this is super helpful to settle down in MMS with almost everything is ready

Not the best facilities but very convenient

Typical college dorm room
Many international students live in Mcmanus and many meetings are hosted here. Even though it is old and only has basic interior, it does come with furniture.

Can't Complain
It is old and creepy but it does the job and it is improving

Just Okay
Somewhat okay but there is no kitchen ventilation, thus lots of fire alarm which makes me crazy.

Practical and convenient option
I currently live in a twin studio in McManus. This means that two of us each have our own private large bedroom with a table and share a common kitchen and bathroom. We do not have a living room.
Pros:
- Close to campus.
- All utilities included plus free laundry and a small gym.
- Great for meeting new people as there are so many Kellogg students in McManus.
- The lease is only active during the school year so there is no risk of paying double rent in the summer. Plus you are able to store your items over the summer in McManus storage.
- Maintenance is very helpful and responsive.
- The individual bedrooms are very large (though I can only speak for the twin studio version)
- The graduate resident assistants and general manager (Matt) are super friendly and create a homey feeling!
Cons:
- An older feel to the entire place as it is 50+ years old.
- The walls and doors are not overly soundproof which is particularly apparent in a twin studio.
Overall I'm really happy with McManus and will almost certainly stay here again next year!
