Great Amenities and New, Clean Apartments

Pros:
Awesome amenities: DOG PARK that gets used!!!, heated pool, beautiful gym on top floor with glass windows and gorgeous views, theater room, conference rooms, cute outdoor patio with heat lamps, community activities (group fitness classes etc)

New, Clean apartments: Nice dark brown floors, huge windows that let in a lot of light, updated appliances, clean feeling.

Location: The Del Ray neighborhood is super cute! lots of nice restaurants and bars, small town feel. There is a super market/sushi restaurant/bar right below the building! And also Target is super close by.

Cons:
Price: It's pretty expensive for the size of the apartments. There are a lot of extra fees. They do cut you deals when you move in, but not sure how I will afford living here when it comes time to renew the lease.

Space: There is very little storage space. In my layout, there is no where to put pantry items. I don't understand where they expect you to put all your kitchen things? You have to come up with alternative storage solutions. And get rid of a lot of things.

No Metro: There is no metro nearby, though I heard they do offer free shuttles to the metro at certain times.

Getting around Old Town

Old Town Reviews

28 reviews
Friendly people. Pretty quiet and safe area. A plethora of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance.
I love the neighborhood. Although Old Town is in the suburbs, it feels like like a mini city, and almost everywhere I want to go is within walking distance. There are great restaurants and bars a few blocks, we're close to the river, there are multiple parks nearby. There is a Whole Foods a block away from my building, and it takes me less than 10 minutes to walk to the King Street Metro station. I also have a dog, and there are so many dog parks and dog-friendly businesses in the area.
Pros:
- Safe, nearby grocery store, pet friendly, pool, close to restaurants, diverse in income types and styles of homes, etc.

Cons: Section 8 housing, a lot of people for a tiny pool.
Lots of new development populated by yuppies and hip new businesses/restaurants, mixed in with pockets of section-8 housing and shady groups of people walking the streets.
There are a lot of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Several grocery store options as well. The apartment is close to the metro/other transit.
The neighborhood has something for everyone. Bordering trendy Kalorama/Dupont and more rustic AdMo. Building is next to an elementary school and small park.
Old Town is a great place to live if you don't want to live in downtown DC. There are always tons of things to do as well as great bars and restaurants.
Old Town is great. King Street is tons of fun and there are always interesting things to do and see.
