Good location, quiet

It's been really good. The facilities are great, there's an underground parking garage that's convenient, and as a side bonus, you can pay rent through rentpayment.com (for all you gamers out there). The major downside is that it is a bit further from the office and not located where most 1st year analysts live. It's near Shirlington, Alexandria. It's a bit cheaper than living in Ballston and it's super close to DCA and Alexandria. It's also about 10 minutes from Ballston and the Pentagon and 15 minutes from DC without traffic. There is no metro stop conveniently close, so even though you can take the bus, a car is almost a necessity.

One final benefit is that it takes less time to commute by car than if you lived in DC. At worst my commute is 40 minutes, but normally it's between 19-30 minutes. And there are 3 main routes (George-Washington Parkway, I-66, and I-495) so if one way is really backed up, you've got other options

Not worth the price

It is updated and pretty. Not enough apartments with balconies for the price. The dog walk is nice for the dogs. Parking is way overpriced for this location as is pet rental fee. Security could be better, especially outside as the dog-walk is open to anyone to walk through. Management harrasses about dogs and shames dog-owners even if all dog-owners are not at fault. Some management/leasing agents are really kind and friendly. Maintenance does a great job. This place is labeled as luxury, but not as luxurious as you would expect for the price. The pool is also small, and the lifeguards are not very kind. The grills outside are only seasonal. What we like is the updated kitchen and bathroom, but not spacious and their storage units are costly, especially considering outside storage units are cheaper. The clubhouse/rooms are kinda ridiculous. Don't even consider spending time there as always taken by the usuals. The arcade-style game they have is sideways and unplayable. I can never get the tv's to work downstairs. The wi-fi down there never works. Close to bus stop that takes 20-30 minutes to get to metro. Place is not walkable to anything! The jump onto 395 is convenient sometimes, but don't expect to take it to work into DC because too far back on 395 to get there in rush hour traffic in less than 1.5 hours.

Management needs to change

My first year living at twenty400 was great. However, not long after, management changed and it became a different story. They kicked out the best concierge who was vey friendly and cared about the residents, and replaced it with someone who had an attitude to people. After telling management about this, of course they did nothing.

Also, trying to talk to management is a shit show. They will try to rob you of every penny you have and have absolutely no sympathy.

Parking another mess. The most minimal amount of visitor spots ever, and they love to tow here.

When I first moved in, the amenities were top notch. However, they don't really keep up to date with their equipments anymore so a lot of things were broken and/or missing.

Okay place to live

The location is right next to 395 so that was convenient, but it is a little ways out from places like Clarendon and Ballston. For the price, you could find an apartment much closer to those places. My favorite thing about this apartment was definitely the courtyard.
