Overpriced but Good Spot

It's a great building, but incredibly overpriced for what you get. I would only recommend living there if you can get a good deal on a unit; otherwise it's a waste of $$.

Not the best value but a fair choice

This was probably the "nicest" building in Evanston until that new Centrum building opened up. It's a great way to be in a building with lots of Kellogg folks. It is not a value rental. It is expensive. The management company has been unresponsive and rude at times. The internet can be pretty bad, and you are stuck with their crappy provider. Living on the fourth floor in the west tower has been particularly crappy, with lots of construction.

A fair review would note that they have improved with the rise of new luxury buildings in Evanston.

Recommend!

Great amenities, very social, the hub for Kellogg students. Only issue is that it is expensive.

If single, stay here - 100%.

Nice Place

The unit itself is very nice, the building has all kellogg students which is 100% the reason to live there, location is convenient to the hub but the management SUCKS and is a total mess

Lots of Kellogg Students

The building is new and with all amenities such as in unit laundry and gym. While E2 is a great place to live, I noticed the construction quality is lacking in some areas. For instance, the floors are a cheap laminate, and none of the bedrooms have lighting (you have to buy your own).

By far best of popular Kellogg housing options in Evanston

Pros:
- Amazing amenities (gym, pool, hot tub, indoor wood floor basketball court, cinema room, bike room, concierge, etc.)
- Modern units with high end appliances, lots of natural light, and great views
- Lots of other Kellogg students in complex (often only need to take the elevator to get to a dinner or party...)

Cons:
- Slightly pricier than other popular Kellogg housing options
- Management could be more attentive (but not nearly as bad as many made them out to be)

Overpriced

Overpriced and horrible tenant service - feels like landlord out to “get us” and charge fees, etc

Not best location to hub

Nice community of Kellogg students top benefit

Love building and amenities

I really love the building and all the amenities. The staff can be frustrating at times but you generally just have to be patient

Lots of Kellogg Students

Love the apartment and the building amenities. Lots of students live here so it is very social and there are great meeting / study places. The management company is very slow and non responsive. Living in the west tower is a pain - there is no doorman or package room so you have to come down the elevators to let guests in and send your packages to the other tower which gets confusing (the building often loses packages because delivery people get confused)

Downtown Evanston Reviews

Downtown Evanston has everything you need. E2 is walkable to campus, a Target, and plenty of restaurants, as well as Metra and L stations to get to Chicago. Right across the street is a Subway, a Thai restaurant, and a pizza place, plus there’s a 7-Eleven about a block away, so you’re very close to options if you need food in a pinch.
Close to downtown Evanston but a bit far from E2/the reserve. One of closest apartments to Trader Joes/Whole Foods/Jewel Osco while also being close to campus. Very close to the lake!
Downtown Evanston has everything you need from a downtown including grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Downtown Evanston is great - plenty of great food within walking distance, Metra and El trains right nearby, a really nice place to be. Only downside is it's far from school and the only truly walkable grocery store is a Whole Foods, which can get expensive. Overall, wouldn't want to live elsewhere though.
Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy access to Lake Michigan as well!
There isn't much to do here, but that's true pretty much everywhere in Evanston. We're in walking distance to all of "downtown" Evanston, so restaurants / fast food / subway, etc. It's a slightly longer walk than desired to Kellogg, but that's fine.
The apartment is central to downtown and is walking distance to most bars, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Evanston is a bit of a sleepy town (especially during the pandemic...I've been told it was much more vibrant pre-pandemic).
I live just south of the main downtown area, and it's the perfect intersection of being close to the action but also a bit removed when you want some quiet. I like being a in a more residential pocket, so there is slightly less foot traffic and really nice areas to walk around with a dog, etc.
