Park Evanston 1BR
Pros: Beautiful views, on a high floor so lots of light. Receptionist staff are very nice. Extremely good location- my classes were all on south campus and right next to Whole Foods
Cons: Expensive for what you get (appliances weren't new), loud neighbors, construction for SO LONG.

Solid option for Kellogg students
Moved into one of the renovated units at Park Evanston for my second year at Kellogg. Overall, I've been pleased with the apartment itself and the location of the building. The building has been undergoing construction but with that finishing up in the public areas, the overall living experience should be elevated quite a bit. I find the rent a bit expensive for what it is (10-15% less would be fair) but that's Evanston for you. With new buildings coming online, the rental market should soften in the coming years so hopefully management responds accordingly.

Overall like living in Park Evanston
There are some apartments that have beautiful views facing the lake! The building is undergoing construction now but the newly renovated units are beautiful! In some of the two bedrooms though, there’s a master bedroom and a significantly smaller room so be prepared to split rent accordingly. Love living next to Whole Foods, minutes to all the other major places people live and a less than 20 minute walk to campus. Management is also receptive to needs.

Do Not Recommend
Not recommended. The price is much higher than comparable places in Evanston. The management office is not helpful at all.

Park Evanston - great location, v. bad management
Pro:
- The higher floors have great views if you're facing the lake, generally pretty spacious and lots of closet space
- Maintenance is pretty responsive
- They just spent 3-4 mo renovating so I'm guessing amenities and new apartments will be quite nice
Con:
- Management sucks - very unreasonable at times. They will increase rent by a lot YOY even though we all had to suffer through really bad noise and inconvenience during renovation

As cheap as it gets in Evanston and not bad setup for the price
You definitely sacrifice some of the amenities that nicer buildings like 1717 or E2 provide, but if you don't care about things like granite counter tops and hardwood floors throughout, OHo is a great option. Having internet and cable included is great, and we have tons of space. Appliances are older and you still get the benefit of washer/dryer in unit.
Worth searching around for an updated unit (original carpet removed, kitchen/bathrooms renovated) because there's very little price different between units even though quality varies a lot. Some units are pet friendly which we needed (our landlord didn't require an additional monthly fee, just a non refundable deposit, but different policies unit to unit).
Gas grills allowed on balconies is a major perk!

Great location but remodeling brings value down
It's a greatly located building close to everything in Evanston. Not as nice as E2 or Centrum but definitely better than most other options. They are remodeling the building and that makes it very uncomfortable to live in - considering the rent !

Solid option close to campus
Park Evanston is incredibly convenient to the Kellogg campus. It's a 15-20 minute walk, depending on your walking speed. It also has all of the baseline amenities you'd need: a functional gym, a common room, a way to connect with a delivery dry cleaning/laundry service, a package room, doorperson, basement bike storage, and a small pool (better in the summer when most of us aren't on campus, though). Current downsides: they've been doing a lot of construction, and it's a mess, it's loud, we've lost access to many common spaces, and this followed a rent increase last spring. Additionally, the newly renovated apartments are going for a steeper price tag than the older units went for. The heat is also only semi-controllable, and is particularly painful during transition seasons. Many residents have to open windows to keep their apartments from being stifling in winter. Older units have everything you need, but nothing (stove, counters, carpet, etc.) is particularly good. Good closet space. Walls are thick, but doors are thin. ~7-10 min walk from Metra/L.
