Poor apartment complex layout

The main complaint I have about this apartment complex is that you only have 1 entrance for the entire 4 buildings in the complex, which is located all the way at the base of the easternmost tower. Even though there are loading docks at the base of every building, residents aren't granted access to them except in special circumstances (e.g. moving in) and only dog owners are given key fob access to the loading dock entrance so that they can walk their dogs outside easily. Horribly inconvenient design and there is no flexibility from the management on this.

I found my studio while living in another city, so I never had the chance to visit in-person before moving in, but I would have thought that this would be a pretty important detail to tell potential tenants about...

Related to the above point, the package room for all 4 buildings is also located in a hallway accessed in an obscure corner of the first (easternmost) building. I (and many other tenants) have to use a dolly/cart in order to bring some of the heavier packages back to the apartment (e.g. cat litter).

Lastly, they have been on this renovation streak for the past half year-- they closed the driveway/entrance for a couple months to redo the entire thing and have moved on to renovating the entire passageway connecting all 4 buildings. Not really sure why they're spending all of this money making minimally noticeable aesthetic changes when they should be focusing on fixing the floorplan of the complex by making a street entrance available for every building.

The studio itself is fine. I have great natural light because of two big sets of windows and being up high. No noise complaints. All appliances work, central heating kicked in around the right time, and there are laundry machines at the base of every building. I think they cheaped out a bit when choosing the toilets, because mine does not flush very strongly sometimes and often continues to drain water after flushing. There are some restaurants nearby and there are several bus stops and a subway station nearby. There's also a grocery store + little town center across the freeway (5-10 minute walk) with some stores.

If you choose to live here, I would recommend to live in the easternmost building if you don't want to walk extra every day.

Decent

It’s my first year living here and it’s been great so far. The lobby is from another planet. It’s essentially modeled to look like a hotel lobby and it is absolutely gorgeous. The one drawback is the cost of rent. I one bed and one bath costs me almost two grand. And that’s without utilities or gym access.

I love it here

This is a wonderful apartment building that has incredible amenities. It gives me the freedom to walk wherever I want but also the ability to take transit to any local spots. The rent is a little steep but it certainly is worth the money. I can’t be happier anywhere else.

Love this place!

I have nothing but positive things to say about presidential Towers. I have lived here since 2011, and I continually renew my lease. I am now engaged, and my Fiancé moved in with me. She fell in love with it just as much as I did. We are planning on having kids, and plan on raising them here in presidential Towers! Absolutely love this place :-)

Run for your life

This apartment complex draws you in with its low rent price, but then you realize you get absolutely nothing for what you pay. In addition to the rent you pay, you pay for all your utilities (water, gas, electricity, internet, cable, laundry, parking). The doormen are there 24/7 but they will not let you pick up packages unless the in house dry-cleaners are open. The parking lot is owned by standard parking, but they rent out more monthly spots than there are physical parking spots, which leads to daily illegal parkers blocking other cars in. The lot also does not close once it is full because it also serves as the parking lot for FFC and the other storefront businesses. Management is not accommodating, does not fix broken things, does not treat your time or home with respect. The neighbors are also loud and rude. Many people smell like body odor. Those with small children allow them to bang on walls and drop ping pong balls on the floor above you all night long. Management does not care about noise complaints.

Living at PT- Great Value

I enjoy living at Presidential Towers. Some residents complain about slow elevators or uncomfortable hallway smells, though I've had none of these issues. Management is friendly and helpful, my floor is very quiet, the lobby smells fresh and inviting, we have plenty of space, and I've never waited more than a minute for an elevator. PT is very convenient with respect to transit and industry, though stores and restaurants close early because it's in the West Loop. I plan to live at PT for at least a couple more years.

Amazing place to live

Living at Presidential towers is so convineant especially because I work in the Downtown. FFC gym is just below the apartments. There are lot of places to eat.
The only problem is th mailing system of the presidential towers. You cannot collect the mails before they mail you . And because of which ordering with amazon prime is of no use, because you would not be able to collect the mail the same day it is delivered. Plus they have weight restrictions with package delivery. More than 70 lbs packages are returned back.

Good Location

The apartment is good as its near to your work place. But the experience here is horrible. From maintenance to cleaning services, every person doesn't know how to talk to you. I wouldn't recommend you to stay here except if you want to save time on your commute.

Presidential Towers- Great Location

The apartment is good except for the mail room service. Its horrible as you dont get your packages on time. So technically it doesn't matter wether you have an Amazon prime account or not, you won't get your package on time. And the management will say they are improving but they dont.

Location is the Only Advantage

Well, I do not have to commute for work and that is the only advantage I get by living in Presidential Towers. The management is not so good. Mail system is a total crap. I was expecting a package (had ordered that from Amazon) and never got it. Instead, I got a package that was addressed to someone else.
