Would recommend for the location

The location is great. I can bike to the school of medicine in less than 10 minutes and walk in 20. The neighborhood is quiet, and we've never had noise problems. We've really enjoyed the pool, it's a great space to study and get time outside. It's nice being in an apartment complex with a good number of other med students too.

Rent is good for the size of our apartment (spacious) and location. No complaints there. The only major downside is the lack of natural light. We have a north facing window and we do not get direct sunlight. Communication from management was a pain when trying to sign the lease, but while we've been here it's been fine. Maintenance was quick to respond and fix to a dripping faucet.

Beautiful apartments near campus with amenities!

Jamestown Rock Springs (formerly called Gables Rock Springs) is a beautiful complex <1 mile from campus with nice, spacious and reasonably affordable apartments, great amenities (pool, gym, trash valet, parking), and a kind management staff. The complex recently changed management to another company (Jamestown), but assuming nothing changes this is a great place for singles, couples, or roommates who want a nice living space near campus and can pay a little more than some of the other complexes nearby. They also allow pets!

Gables Rock Springs

I think that Gables Rock Springs is a great place to live! The highlight of the property is its affordability, the location (close to Midtown), and

the upkeep of the units/property. I chose to live here specifically because the 2BR/2BA model has two bedrooms that are equal in size with attached bathrooms which was rare amongst the apartments in the area (most have one master suite with another bedroom that has a detached bathroom). There are a lot of pets in the area and I frequently see people walking their dogs, which I love. My only complaint would be that there isn't much (stores, etc.) that are walking distance and I have to drive/bus to just about everything. On the flip side, we are very close to Ponce De Leon and midtown is only a few minutes away. Another complaint would be that the power has gone out three times, but I think that this has more to do with GA Power than it does with the apartment management.

Affordable, decent amenities

Good for the budget. Slightly awkward that laundry is inside of someone's bedroom, makes doing laundry more of a hassle. Management is not very responsive and is always doing in-home checks without much notice. Downstairs bedroom is much lower temp than upstairs bedrooms. Car got broken into in parking lot.

Good complex, good location.

Unit is not in the best location within the complex but the leasing office is very responsive to resident concerns and the proximity to school is good.

Crime and poor management

Cars are constantly broken into in our parking lots due to a lack of gating and lighting. Our apartment has had an attempted break-in. We have also had instances of people walking around checking to see if apartments were unlocked late at night (2X). Management is unwilling to improve the situation.

Druid Hills Reviews

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.
Safe neighborhood. Lots of Emory students live in the complex too. Close to a bike/ walking trail which is awesome
love the neighborhood. amazing parks, families, houses, lovely place to be and walk
Very convenient to restaurants, Publix, and the SAAC
Everything is drive from my complex, but plenty of establishments and sights are well within a short drive.
It's close to emory village and kroger on briarcliff. Clairmont and Emory point are also just a little further for more restaurant options.
Druid hills is great because you ar close to school and the offerings of Atlanta.
The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.
