Clean, Eventful Area Close to Metro
It is pricey here. I will not lie about that, but it is in close proximity in walking (5 to 10 minutes walk) to the metro, small stores for shopping, a walking trail, a theatre, and several grocery stores. The neighborhood is lively nut not too noisy and if you drive a car, you are not to far from the interstate.

Great Building with Wonderful Amenities - Too Expensive and Bad Management
Wonderful amenities in a newly renovated room, with the building being renovated as well. Sadly, it costs quite a bit compared to other nearby buildings, and does not include amenities within rent (if it did, the pricing would at least make sense). The management truly sucks and I avoid dealing with them at all costs.

Amazing Amenities, Great Neighborhood
We love the amenities here, it's great for dog owners and they have a nice gym, courtyard, study rooms, free printing, pool, etc. A little far from the school however this is right next to the Ballston Metro, takes about 15 minutes to get to the Foggy Bottom stop.

AVA Ballston Square Review
It's a good starter apartment and the building itself is nice. They've invested a lot in making the courtyard/pool area and gym nice. It's also convenient having the metro stop and so many restaurants right outside the building. The only bummer is that the unit can feel really small and there isn't a lot of space in the bedrooms. This gets to be more of an issue because of COVID making us hold up inside. Price wise it's fairly in line with what's being offered in the area if anything it's a bit cheaper. When you're paying rent it seems like you're paying for access to the location more so than for the unit.

Great place to live
I had a great experience. The location is excellent. Very close to the Scalia Campus and you can walk pretty much everywhere. Everything is so close by. Supermarket, pharmacy, mall, restaurants, bars, metro, UPS, etc.

Amazing Building!
I couldn’t be happier with AVA Ballston Square! The building was recently renovated, so all the facilities are new. The management has been great to work with so far. We are one block from a grocery store and there are plenty of food services nearby! It is about a 15 minute walk to campus!

Good Apartment
The building is great if you like the location. Leasing, maintenance, and the front desk are super nice. I lived in the building for two years and have never had any bad experiences, however after the Ballston mall went under construction I didn't feel like the area really had much worth doingin the area anymore. That being said, once the new mall comes in and they continue building high rises and renovating, I could see Ballston becoming another Clarendon-like spot in Arlington. Harris Teeter is walking distance and the metro is right across the street though which makes it a very accessible location.

Ballston Reviews
15 minutes on the metro to Capital One - way closer than D.C. Nice if you have friends living in the area. Overall, in either case I would personally recommend choosing proximity to close friends over the neighborhood itself.
The area is often the host of Arlington fairs such as Taste of Arlington.
