Great apartment for pet owners
My boyfriend and I have lived in a 1 bedroom in Reside on Stratford for two years. It is a remodeled building with a fitness room and laundry on the first floor. We overall have been happy with the building but it sometimes can be messy in common areas because a lot of the residents have dogs. We have had some noisy neighbors the past few months but I think we just got unlucky (not a problem specific to this building). I take the 146 bus to northwestern campus and it is very quick/easy.

Going on 5 years
I've been in my unit almost 5 years. The location is GREAT - a few steps away from the lake and express buses that take lakeshore to downtown. Management is always quick to respond and attend to maintenance requests. Overall - I've loved living here.

Reside on Stratford
Decent value for my first studio apartment in Chicago. Pretty small sized studio, but enough space for one. Great neighborhood with many bars and restaurants nearby, and just around the corner from the bus stop on Lakeshore Dr. Decent amentities.

Lakeview Reviews
It has numerous sub-neighborhoods, including the super bro-y Wrigleyville and the still queer Boystown. It has a mix of lower income co-op housing and slowly dying out SRO housing with luxury condos and high rises.
The area is generally safe, though the occasional mugging does occur and bar fights happen closer to the stadium on the regular.
The neighborhood is often loud and bustling with people, with hospitals on both ends (St. Jo's and Advocate to the south and Thorek to the north) so a lot of ambient ambulance and fire truck noise is normal, plus sounds from people going to and from the many bars and restaurants lining Broadway, Belmont, Halsted, and Clark. Festivals draw neighbors into the streets and block traffic frequently during the summer, including Pride, Market Days, Lakeview Arts Fest, and others.
