Great Spot
Great location. Close to every metro line, and in an area that is slowly becoming as busy as it was prior to the pandemic. Can walk to the law school. Great restaurants below. Also is nice because it is a little older crowd, so it is slightly quieter compared to other DC apartments. It's not one of those massive apartments with so many students/young people and where the rooftop is basically a nightclub.
Only downside would be that it's really not close to grocery stores. The closest is probably the Safeway Mt. Vernon, but I have mixed results there, and usually end up going to the Whole Foods on 14th.

A Great First Apartment
I have lived with roommates nearly my entire life, so finding a space I could enjoy and live on my own mid-pandemic in DC (which I had never been to before) was extremely nerve wracking. While expensive, City Center is in a GREAT location, close to all the metro lines, and the building staff and management are fantastic. I feel incredibly safe in my building, and the concierge goes above and beyond to assist me. My unit has its own laundry, and the studio is large enough I feel as though I have my own room without having to pay a higher price for a one bedroom. I also got a kitten during my lease, and City Center is very pet friendly, even assisting me with the adoption process. The price may be high, but it is a great first place to live to become more comfortable with navigating DC. I cannot recommend it enough!

Awesome apartment
Awesome apartment, but might be more expensive in normal times. My girlfriend and I got a COVID deal and we are lucky to be here

Awesome Experience
OMG this is my best living experience in the DC area. I am so glad to live here as it is not only located right in Penn Quarter, it also offer great accessibility to popular restaurants as well as public transportation like Metro and buses. Who says you would need a car in DC!?! I very much love my apartment unit, it is new, modern, great architecture with a lot of sunlights! The perk of living here is you get to experience No.1 maintenance services with young and talented tenants around you. There are many high-end shops like GUCCI, Burberry, Dior if you are a shopaholic! Plus, it has Momofuku right around your corner. Thumbs down the best living place!

Luxury apartment with amazing amenities and resident services
I have lived in City Center for a year and half and it has been great. I feel safe and that the building lives up to its expectations. There are tons of local restaurants and retail stores all on the property. The amenities are very nice and are always clean and current such as the pool, the gym, rooftop with grills, and business center. This building is great for student, singles, married couples, and young families.

Great deal for us!
As an affordable housing dweller, city center is a great apartment complex. It offers amazing amenities and incredible management staff. They offer monthly social gatherings and events, gym classss in the yoga studio and more! Also the location is great. We are next to all major metros, supermarkets and shopping!

Overall great experience. Amazing value. A little older / quieter crowd for a young professional like myself. Beautiful building. Like the events at the complex. Great location to other parts of DC. Nice computer space. Free starbucks coffee in the AM!

Aesthetically Pleasing, New, Great Location
CityCenter opened over a year ago and unfortunately, still has some kinks to iron out (i.e., all of the stairwells doors self-lock so you HAVE to take the elevator every time). It's one of the rare pet friendly buildings in the Mt. Vernon/Downtown area, which is nice. However, despite having a "Sky Bark" that's a giant astro-turfed area for the dogs to play and use the facilities, it could have been set up a LOT better. The Sky Bark is not sprayed down enough so it ALWAYS smells like urine. A lot of owners like to let their dogs off of their leashes (which is understandable), but should be more considerate of owners who have smaller, skiddish dogs and do not want to interact - if there was a rule in the lease about keeping your dog leashed in the Sky Bark if there was a certain # of dogs, that would be helpful. Also, only 1 of 3 elevators goes to the roof, so a majority of the time, I have been late to class and meetings BECAUSE of waiting for the roof. Tenants are mostly unfriendly 20-somethings, which is fine. The building itself is very clean and sterile looking. CityCenter is developing a business center in a sense, so there's lots of expensive amenities nearby - D.B.G.B. restaurant, Burberry. Zadig et Voltaire, Hermes, etc. Only 2 blocks away from the Metro Center station and 3 blocks from the center of chinatown, so the location is great. Concierges are always incredibly friendly and as helpful as possible. $2500/mo. for a 550 sq ft studio isn't bad, especially in this city, but I think you're paying more for the amenities than the sq footage itself. Spacious living area and somewhat separate 'sleeping' area, but VERY little closet/storage space. Definitely TOO dark. Not enough windows, and depending on what side of the building you're on, you NEVER get sunlight. HUGE issue. It was great to live in my first year here, but I will be moving somewhere else.
