Great place to live but serious growing pains
E2 is a brand new apartment complex with probably the best amenities in Evanston ... full size basketball court, movie theater, great pool + grills, small but serviceable indoor gym. Apartments are great as could be expected with a brand new building ... quality countertops, appliances, bathroom, kitchen, etc. The doormen (and women) are fantastic, probably the nicest, friendlist folks I've ever had in my experience renting (I traveled quite a bit, have lived in at least 8 different apartments over the last 5 years across the country).
The biggest problems with E2 are the elevators and the internet. There are only two elevators per tower, which is not enough for 15-floor buildings especially in rush hour times (mornings are especially bad). Exacerbating the problem is the fact that the elevators are constantly broken or down. I have waited up to 5 minutes for an elevator (I live on a high floor), and it is not uncommon for me to wait 2-3 minutes each time. This doesn't sound like a lot, but can be a real pain when you're in a hurry. The internet also goes down sporadically and can stay off for a full day at a time. The builidng contracts with one specific internet provider who is the lowest rated provider in the entire Chicago metropolitan area (by a pretty wide margin).
Another potential risk is pricing - rental prices now are fairly reasonable compared to other apartment complexes in Evanston, but there's definitely a possibility that management hikes the rates up next year considering the building is brand new and occupancy is high.

Brand new building!
Nice building with good amenities. Location a bit further from dining and grocery options but close to the Jake. Filled with other Kellogg MBAs so big social scene. Not great value for the price though.

Great place, poor management
The building is beautiful, large, and has amazing amenities. It's close to campus and full of Kellogg students. Management leaves a lot to be desired - the internet goes down a lot, the elevators break, the water pressure is weak, and it's slightly overpriced. But it's still worth it for being so close to campus and living with so many Kellogg classmates with lots of social areas.

Overall a great place
Overall a great place. Its pretty new so there are some recurring annoying problems (elevators occasionally break down, internet occasionally goes down, printer in the computer room is constantly without ink). You are forced to use one cable/ internet company, which is also bad. Its also a bit far from most supermarkets.
Other from that its amazing. Close to school (10 min walk). Tons of Kellogg students (its probably the building with the largest number), new units and the amenities are awesome (specially the pool/grills in the summer).

Great place to live
E2 has quickly become one of the most popular apartments for Kellogg students. While there have been some annoying internet and elevator issues in the first few months, E2 is still a great place to live. The ameniites are great, the units are beautiful, and its great to have tons of other Kellogg students in the building

E2 - Growing Pains But Worth It
E2 has been a great place to live so far. The building is brand new so management is still working on some issues with internet, elevators, etc but overall, this is the place to be. There's a huge Kellogg community here that gets together on a very regular basis and the building has everything you need for winter hibernation. I'm very happy with my choice.

E2 is Amazing
It almost feels like every Kellogg student lives here. I'd highly recommend it!

Decent New Building
E2 is a new building as of this year. Despite being brand new, I don't think they put in the highest quality materials because there is already wear and tear in the apartments from general use. Some of the layouts are awkward and struggle to fit furniture. Make sure to check out the apartment before you sign and measure!
The amenities are great - pool, gym, grills - and allow for a very social Kellogg environment. However, there are a lot of families here whose lifestyle is obviously different and as a Kellogg student it can feel a little intrusive (Tuesday night pregames are a great example of this). If you are here in the summer the families basically take over the pool. That being said, we had many a social gathering on the deck, which were quite large and a lot of fun. The internet is a continuous issue throughout the year. Management appears to want to fix the issue, but they are still working on it. The front door staff is excellent (Sandy is awesome) and the convenience of having package pick up is great.

Modern apartment with great amenities, near all of your friends
Hands down the best part about living in E2 is the fact that this building is run by Kellogg students. Amenities on the 4th floor are great: BBQs, epic pool parties, basketball court, gym (which is OK, kind of small, but you've got Exhale Spa downstairs for fitness classes/barre if you're into that), and study rooms. You'll end up doing lots of group assignments here based on the simple fact that a lot of people live here.
In terms of aesthetics, the apartments at E2 are modern and were brand new as of last year. They boast dark brown hardwood floors, gray/white walls, and sleek cabinets. Some of the units have spectacular views with big windows, providing lots of natural daylight. The kitchen appliances all work great and there is an in-unit washer dryer. Although the apartment looks very nice at first glance, the "hardwood" floors are rather cheap and scratch easily. Overall, the apartments are small for the value, but nice.
We had a lot of issues with the internet over the first 6 months of living here. Plus, Direct TV is AWFUL. Management seems to be taking a while to get the hang of things, but they are all incredible nice - especially the doormen/woman. They also often host lots of events with local businesses in the building, for example, restaurant samples, massage classes, and fitness classes.
E2 does not allow a 2 year lease, but we will probably stay as we are enjoying it so far!
