Convenient Location
The location is great! It is a 20 minute walk to Kelley and 15 minutes to downtown. If you have a car, you can get everywhere in 3 minutes. Parking is an extra fee. There are two options, surface parking or garage parking. Each unit has its own washer and dryer. One complaint is that it is loud given that it is located right off Walnut (a main street here).

Great Apartment
Great apartment with modern look. Little on the pricey side for Bloomington but close to the University and downtown amenities.

Great Place to live!
I've really enjoyed living at City Flats on Walnut. The apartment is spacious and has a great screened in balcony. The location is also fantastic, close to both downtown Bloomington and the IU campus.

MBA Experience at City Flats
The apartment and complex are generally good. Clean, relatively quiet area (except for the occasional emergency service vehicles with blaring sirens going down the street). Management is typically pretty good about resolving any maintenance requests in a relatively quick matter, especially if deemed as an emergency (plumbing, power, etc.). Overall, good value, especially if you have pets. In my opinion, there are definitely better options for the same price point, but unfortunately, most places do not allow animals at all.

Great place at a cost $$$
I really like my apartment. It's pretty quiet and there are a lot of other MBA students here (currently 13/90 2nd years). I also picked a pet friendly place to live which allowed me to get a puppy over the summer! It is much pricier to live hear so definitely not a building for people who have a lot of loans.

City Flats
The building is clean and well maintained. I like that they recycle. I live on the side that faces Walnut and I can really hear the sounds of the street.

One of the nicer buildings
I like my building a lot. It's quiet and I have a top floor unit with garage parking (that I pay an additional fee for). I have my own dishwasher and washer/dryer and a little screened in porch. I do not have pets however, I could have them if I wanted to. The one thing I wish that I had is a gym however, I'm finding that I do not have a lot of time to workout anyhow.

Nice Apartment, Walkable Area
No apartment is perfect, but my overall experience has been good. The management has been relatively responsive when I need them, but there are definitely delays at times. The property is well kept and feels mostly quiet and safe.
Being right off of Walnut St., it can at times be very loud. But the area is very walkable (15 minutes from Kirkwood, 10 minutes from the square) and I take my dog on walks in almost every direction.
The amenities are somewhat lacking though. The gym and pool are at another City Flats location.

MBA Experience at City Flats
Pretty nice place overall. Clean, good amenities (trash chute on each floor, in-unit washer/drier, hard "wood" floors). Very nice details, similar to a previous apartment we had. Chose mainly for size/price/proximity to campus. Two main drawbacks, one is in management's control, the other isn't. Something they can't control: road noise. Since we moved from out of town and weren't really familiar with what the "main streets" were in Bloomington, there's a surprising amount of road noise, especially from emergency services vehicles. The only other thing I'll say is that parking seems a little pricey, especially for a garage space, but I guess parking is always a premium in a college town.
