Very homey!

The standard is a very cozy place to live! I love having trash pickup included, and never have to take it out myself. The office is pretty quick to respond to work orders.

The Standard

Nice finishes, great location, quiet neighborhood. Maintenance is usually responsive, and I haven't had any issues with management overall. Dog friendly and has a great pool! Gym is small but decent. Right by SMU bus stop and walking distance to East Campus.

Definitely the best

1. Secure to live in.
2. Management is very responsive and reacts fast to your maintenance report.
3. The gym is good tho I prefer Dedman gym.
4. The parking is spacious and never have a problem finding parking spots when I arrived home late.
5. A new apartment for only three yrs I think.
6. Best choice for SMU commuters (esp newbies with no transport)!
7. The SMU shuttle stop is only one-minute walk distance!
8. Very clean. during my two years living, I saw no pests for even once! Amazing!
9. I am not advertising. I just love where i live.

M Streets Reviews

There are a ton of shops and restaurants within walking distance which is great, but there are also a lot of homeless people and some wild stuff going on at night. My boyfriend works the night shift at 7/11 and always comes home with the craziest stories. During the day I would say I love the neighborhood.
The surrounding areas can get a little sketchy, as it is pretty close to Mockingbird Station. However, we don’t have a problem with crime on the property itself
The neighborhood is up and coming so there are a lot of good restaurants popping up in the immediate area. Lots of young professionals live in this area.
There is not much around this neighborhood other than the two major grocery stores and a couple of restaurants. The closest thing to landmark is an independent living facility.

If you do not have a car like me, you are somewhat dependent on the public transportation schedule to get most places. Though not really a thing right now due to the pandemic, if you want to have an active nightlife, or be closer to places where events happen, this neighborhood might not be the place for you.
Very central, but takes a few minutes to get to lower greenville with all those amenities.
I feel very safe in the neighborhood, walking around, at the grocery store, etc.
Lots of cars but safe feeling. Close to walking trails
It's in a great location in respect to school, starbucks, grocery store, etc. However, it is right next to the DART which can be really creepy at night. I've heard of people coming up to balconies from the DART and last night I had someone banging on my door for several minutes and covering the peep hole.
