Great building...maybe-soon-to-be-great neighborhood?
The building is great! Built in the 1980s, the building looks very nice and almost all units have been redone since. On-site staff keep building clean and properly maintained, and they serve as quasi-doorpersons for security, packages, etc. Repair requests are handled promptly and the staff are so nice and get to know residents within a few days of signing the lease. There's on site laundry and some great public space in the courtyard and on the rooftop. We're 2 blocks from the local PD and major transit hubs. Neighborhood is eh...but may be improving with all the new construction for Hudson Yards. Noise can be a bit of an issue if you're used to dead-quiet, and they have a sometimes annoying habit of closing down the rooftop during the spring/summer months. All in all, a very solid building for a fairly reasonable price.

Hell's Kitchen Reviews
* Easily accessible from a majority of transit hubs.
* Tremendous investment on the part of private and public entities, so there's a lot of development and renewarl.
* Proximity to Javits Center, Penn Station, and Time Square make it heavily policed and quite safe.
CONS
* NOISE--from the Lincoln Tunnel, the Javits, the River, the tourists, but above all else the construction
* Proximity to Javits Center, Penn Station, and Time Square can suck the character out of the location. Don't move here if you're looking to easily find a neighborhood with it's own personality (your local coffee place is going to be Starbucks and your local Italian place is going to be a hike if you want anything other than Sbarro/Olive Garden).
Transportation, particularly up and down the West Side and to FiDi is incredibly easy, and if you live near 42nd St, almost every area is a snap to get to.
Con: Can be loud and tourist heavy during certain hours.
