Better than nearby apartment buildings!
We love the Eclipse Condos! First of all, my husband and I were able to rent a 1 bedroom + den apartment for much less than nearby apartment buildings and 1 parking space was included in our rent! We have a Harris Teeter in our parking garage and we are very close to the Crystal City metro station so the city is very accessible.

Because I left so suddenly, I didn’t have much of a chance to explore the neighborhood. From what I had explored, it seemed like there were a lot of food options. I did like the convenience of being able to walk to pentagon city mall and the surrounding area.
This part of Crystal City is fairly good. Tons of restaurants and bars nearby, and right on Rt 1 so everything is accessible. I don't think it is a very walkable location, but if you have a car or at least a bicycle everything is definitely close. 23rd street crystal city restaurants are just under a mile away, so a bit far to walk regularly but still fairly close. On the other side, going towards Alexandria there is a lot of food and shopping options about a mile south.
The neighborhood itself is beautiful. Brand new parks with sculptures and walking paths everywhere. If you walk a bit more towards potomac ave, there is a playground as well as tennis and basketball courts. People are always outside enjoying the parks and recreation. The closest metro line is at the airport (~20 min walk), although there is another metro stop under construction at the moment that would be even closer.

Overall, Crystal City is a great place to live, and often overlooked when compared to Pentagon City. This is a pretty suburban area, with a mix of homes and apartment complexes. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and it's enjoyable since they're mostly walking distance. Added perk - Arlington Public Library tucked into the neighborhood between the main Crystal City area and surrounding Pentagon City area.
If you have a family it’s great, if your single it’s great also. Easy access to major highways and metro. Tons of activities and events through out the year. Safe environment to walk at night.
Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of grocery stores within a 5 minute drive (Costco, Harris Teeter, Giant). Costco is walkable if you can carry your costco-sized groceries or if you bring your own cart.
Close enough to the city that it doesn’t feel like a task going in and out, plenty of things to do nearby
It is close to almost everything. Metro? Check. Mall? Check. Grocery store? Check. Place to eat and drink? you betcha. I feel safe walking around at night. The only draw back is that there is a fire station close by and you get to hear the wailing of the sirens. You get use to them though.
Great, pedestrian-friendly, safe neighborhood with various community activities!
