Aqua review

Aqua offers great apartments and some of the best amenities out there. Depending on your unit, the views are also some of the best. Most units offer either great views of the river or amazing views of the lake + millennium park. The gym and common areas are great and I take advantage of them a lot. Common areas also provide a great socializing aspect as the grilling area is very comfortable and spacious and the areas in general are nice spots to hang out in with friends. Soundproofing in Aqua is also a clear plus, as I have never hear my neighbors even when they have parties (also means they don't hear you and don't complain).

Greatest downside with Aqua is the living room spaces. Although most MBA apartments aren't exactly huge, Aqua has slightly tighter living room space as there is tons of closet space and the rooms are also large. Pros: closet and room space.

Loving it so far!

I have enjoyed my stay at aqua. The view is great! The public areas are properly managed. The staff and management are nice and helpful. The amenities are adequate and properly managed as well.

My only issue is that you can't have heating and cooling at the same time in the building. This was an issue for me as an international student from a hot climate, I want my apartment warm when the building only had cooling available.

Amazing Living Experience

This building is has incredibly friendly and responsive staff, amazing and clean amenities (gym, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam room, office space), and a great location. The architectural design is also beautiful and pretty famous throughout Chicago. It's also right on the edge of Lakeshore Park which is its own quiet oasis at the heart of Chicago. The units themselves also have floor to ceiling windows which bring in amazing light during the day and incredible views of the city at night.

Quiet location in the Heart of Chicago

The staff at this building is amazing. The residents are typically fairly young and very social. The building hosts events throughout the year for people to get to know each other. The amenities are exceptional. The gym is the largest I have ever seen in an apartment or hotel. The unit itself is very pretty with lots of natural light – floor to ceiling windows.

The location is great. Many of the major bus lines pick up very close to the building

Great Architecture, Small Space

Everyone knows Aqua, it's on the architecture tour... but what they don't tell you is how small those curving balconies are. Many apartments have the larger part of the curve, but that was out of our budget so we got stuck with a tiny balcony sliver that's barely usable and kind of scary! Also, not a fan of sharing amenities with the hotel.

Aqua

Great pool and pretty nice gym with good classes for residents. Kind of isolated from the Chicago social scene as there are just a few other hotels and a couple restaurants. Convenient that Mariano's is basically within the building and its walking distance from public transportation.

One of the best apt buildings in town

Excellent location, the best in class amenities, good view. But the apartments tend to be smaller than in other buildings in the area (while the price is higher). Overall, I think not the best value for money, but the experience is very positive and I would definitely recommend renting here

Love it

I really like my home. It is conveniently located next to my office, it has nice views, it's well maintained, clean and updated. The building is located in the loop which is a great location. However during the winter it can be a bit quiet. A part from that I love living here. The amenities are great too.

The Loop Reviews

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Loop is central and great to get to other neighborhoods. Quick train access to Hyde Park (35min door to seat). Mostly MBA students in building
Feels like a neighborhood even though you are in the heart of the city
The Loop is great because it is so easy to get anywhere in the city! Also, we are next to many cool sights, and River North is very walkable.
Location is central to everything and with majority of students living here, hard to envision living elsewhere during Booth
Great access to stores, restaurants, and excellent transit to get anywhere in Chicago you may want to go to!
Location is good in terms of transit proximity. The loop is not a great area for food/activities but river north is very close and has grocery stores/restaurants, etc.
It’s the loop. It’s full of tourists, but all my friends live here. Trade offs are everywhere. Sooooo close to train (under rated).
