Clean, large apartments newly renovated with great appliances and large rooms. Pricey building but it’s a 10 minute walk to Lincoln Center campus. One could hypothetically flex our apartment to make it 3 roommates.

Good property but terrible agent

I had a good time here. But the lease agent was terrible. No reply for several weeks and require huge guarantor fee

Good value

7 management rating Reviewed by on

Eagle Lofts has great apartments that have nice value for the money. I have a gym, in-unit laundry, door person, etc. for a fraction of what it would cost in other areas of the city. The biggest downside is the commute, which is ~30 minutes.

Not the best

4 management rating Reviewed by on

The leasing process is the worst, especially if you need guarantors. Rockrose employees are extremely unresponsive and tend to be condescending. I never had a good experience with any employee. The building allows for flex rooms but you cannot building up to the ceiling or have doors. You have to get very creative or pay people off to get a door or flex built to the top to ensure privacy. That being said the rooftop is awesome and had an outdoor shower which is key for hot summer days. There’s a gym, lounge, laundry room on the 4th fllor, front desk (great for packages) and concerige laundry service that will do your laundry or dry cleaning for a fee. Duane Reade right under the building is key and theres a grocery store is right around the corner. You are very close to several subway lines and the South Street Seaport is up and coming and awesome in the summer.

Expensive but worth it

9 management rating Reviewed by on

While expensive, I absolutely love my apartment. I have lived in the West Village for 7 years and it is a great location for NYU students. The apartment is mainly professionals in their mid-late twenties and thirties. Double height ceilings, an incredible rooftop, friendly doormen, a grocery store on the first floor, and lots of closet space are just some of the perks of living in the Archive.

Good apartment

Have not had any issues with the apartment. The doormen are friendly and helpful. Maintenance is quick if needed. Have never had issues with bugs or mice. Would recommend the apartment complex to friends. Expensive but that's New York for you. Also love the amazing rooftop - nice views of the city and a grill.

Excellent Building

I enjoy coming back home from work. It's an awesome studio. The building is a luxury one and the best part of it other than the gym, etc is the rooftop. It's just amazing. You can see both the bridges, Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. Management is great.

This is a great apartment and great area! There is a nice laundry room, lounge, rooftop, and gym. I feel very safe in this area of the city. There are all subway lines nearby and it is very convenient. Doormen are very friendly and helpful and so is the maintenance staff.

Clean, new building with nice lobby. Great view from the rooftop. Common areas and gym could be renovated/updated.

Nice staff and safe building. Elderly couples or late 30-professionals.

Close to trendy restaurants and bars. Nice but expensive grocery store close by.

Quiet

Quiet and great location. Location is great and near the subways. No crime around the area. Great great gym. Neighbors are respectful working professionals. Lots of sunlight, and high ceilings. The super isn't super responsive but will eventually get to you when needed.

Quiet, but still enough to get the job done

9 management rating Reviewed by on

This apartment building remains quiet yet lively at the same time. There are great amenities available, as well as nice neighbors. I know I would definitely live here again. Pets are allowed so this was a huge plus for me. However, you may have young people living here so expect some parties sometimes.

Great Value in a Great Building

10 management rating Reviewed by on

I live in a duplex with my roommate and we got a great value! We pay less than we did for a much smaller walk-up in West Village and we get a doorman, gym and laundry! The building is very classy and management is great. They renovated our unit right before moving in and have been extremely responsive to anything we have said. Would recommend if you're willing to live 1.5 avenues from the nearest subway!
